How Lynx clarified its ESG product positioning and expanded into international markets
Client Success Overview
Client: Lynx Global Intelligence
Location: USA
Sector: ESG intelligence, mining technology and B2B SaaS
Scope: Brand positioning, go-to-market strategy, product marketing and content
Result: Established clearer product–market fit and a stronger foundation for international expansion
The challenge
Lynx Global Intelligence had developed a specialist platform designed to help organisations access and understand complex ESG intelligence within the global mining sector.
As the business prepared to expand its presence internationally, it needed a clearer and more consistent way to communicate its offering across different markets and audiences.
The existing brand and messaging needed to evolve to support the company’s growth ambitions, strengthen its visibility and create a clearer connection between the product, its target audiences and the problems it was designed to solve.
This became particularly important as Lynx prepared to launch an AI-powered product and grow its presence in the US.
My role
I worked closely with the CEO to strengthen the company’s positioning and develop the marketing foundations required to support its next stage of growth.
My role combined strategic planning with hands-on delivery across brand, go-to-market strategy, product marketing and content.
The work included:
Reviewing the existing brand, messaging and customer journey.
Mapping the competitive landscape and identifying opportunities for differentiation.
Clarifying priority audiences across key markets.
Refining the connection between customer needs and product capabilities.
Developing a clearer and more consistent messaging framework.
Supporting the company’s rebrand and visual identity.
Creating a go-to-market approach for international expansion.
Supporting the launch and product market fit of an AI-powered product.
Developing product marketing and educational content.
Introducing more structured content and research processes.
The approach
1. Clarifying the product–market fit
The first priority was to create a stronger connection between Lynx’s product, its target audiences and the challenges those audiences were trying to address.
The company operated within a complex area combining ESG, mining intelligence, data and technology. Its messaging therefore needed to communicate the depth of its expertise while remaining accessible to audiences with different levels of sector and technical knowledge.
I helped refine the narrative around the problems Lynx helped customers solve, the intelligence the platform provided and the role its technology could play in supporting better-informed decisions.
This gave the business a clearer articulation of its product–market fit and a stronger basis for communicating with prospective customers.
2. Strengthening the brand for expansion
I reviewed the competitive landscape to understand how other ESG, data and mining intelligence businesses positioned themselves.
This helped identify opportunities for Lynx to differentiate its specialist expertise and communicate the combination of sector knowledge, data and technology more clearly.
The resulting positioning and messaging framework could be applied across the company’s website, sales materials, product communications and content.
I also supported the evolution of the visual identity, helping the brand present itself more consistently as it entered new markets.
3. Building the go-to-market foundations
Lynx needed a structured approach that could support expansion beyond its existing market presence.
I developed a go-to-market framework connecting:
Priority markets and audiences.
Customer needs and challenges.
Product capabilities.
Core messaging.
Content and sales enablement.
Product education.
Launch and market-entry activity.
This created greater alignment between the company’s brand, product and growth priorities, while giving the team a clearer structure for approaching new audiences.
4. Supporting the AI product launch
As Lynx prepared to introduce an AI-powered product, I helped develop its positioning and supporting go-to-market communications.
The focus was on explaining how the product could help customers navigate complex information and access relevant intelligence more efficiently, rather than relying on AI terminology alone.
I also helped develop product marketing materials, educational resources and product-led content to support market awareness, customer understanding and sales conversations.
5. Creating a scalable marketing foundation
Alongside the rebrand and product launch, I helped establish marketing processes and assets the business could continue using as it expanded.
This included clearer audience personas, structured messaging, product education and content foundations, as well as more efficient approaches to research and content development using AI-supported workflows and prompt engineering.
The aim was to create a marketing foundation that could support multiple markets rather than relying on isolated campaigns or market-specific activity.
The outcome
The work gave Lynx a clearer and more consistent position as it expanded its presence internationally.
The company emerged with:
A clearer articulation of its product–market fit.
Stronger alignment between customer needs and product capabilities.
A more differentiated brand narrative.
Clearer messaging for priority markets and audiences.
A refreshed visual identity.
A structured go-to-market strategy.
Stronger positioning for its AI product.
Product marketing resources to support customer education.
More scalable content and research processes.
A stronger foundation for international market expansion.
The strategic impact
This project went beyond delivering a rebrand or individual marketing campaign.
It involved helping an early-stage technology company clarify where its product created the greatest value, communicate that value more consistently and build the foundations needed to support international growth.
By connecting brand, product marketing, content and go-to-market strategy, I helped Lynx establish clearer product–market fit and enter its next stage of expansion with a stronger and more scalable marketing platform.
